A history note
A club carried across city lines.
Some teams are inseparable from one address. The Raiders story is different: its history moves, and its fan memory does too.
Oakland gave the club its first home and a fiercely local charge. Los Angeles widened the audience and turned the team into a national cultural presence. The return to Oakland brought earlier ties back into the foreground, while Las Vegas opened the newest chapter on an entirely different stage.
None of those places cancels the others. They create a history with competing memories, distinct eras, and plenty of room for a fan to see the same team from more than one angle.
Titles are part of the record, not the whole record
The franchise has three Super Bowl victories, a fact that belongs in any short history. What stays with me is the larger picture: rosters that played with confidence, coaches who made bold choices, and seasons that still give fans a shared reference point.
That is why I return to the archive. The past is not decoration for a game day. It gives every current season a longer conversation to join.
History needs some humility
This page is a fan overview, not a complete franchise chronicle. Dates and broad milestones deserve reliable source checks; the personal reading of their meaning belongs to the fan writing around them.
